We were surprised that they did not choose the brood nest temperature of around 35C, but rather a bit colder conditions. Next we tested the temperature range that causes damage to the maites. The mites did not survive 10C over the normal brood nest temperature.
わたしたちは、彼女ら（メスのヘギイタダニ）が35℃あたりの温度の蜂児巣を選ばず、むしろ少し冷たい状況を選んだことに驚かされた。次に、わたしたちはダニにダメージを当たる温度の範囲を調べた。ダニは通常の蜂児巣の温度を10℃越えて生きることはなかった。
